Guadalupe: The Musical

In 1531 in the Spanish colony that would later be known as Mexico, the local archbishop is suffering a crisis of faith. When a poor mat-weaver comes to him, claiming to have seen an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the priest sees an opportunity to unite the rebellious villagers and put an end to the cruel reign of the newly appointed governor. A musical based on historical events.
